Chiharu Miyaguni

Standing tall and slim, Miyaguni looks remarkably young for someone said to have passed forty. Red eyes pair with blonde hair she arranges in a striking way: bangs cut flat across, two thick buns crowning her head, and twin tails dropping down to frame each cheek. Long, narrow drop earrings dangle at either side.

For dress she wears a dark double-breasted tunic that buttons up high at the collar in two upright columns, matched with white culottes and heavy dark boots. Draped over her shoulders is a dark capelet, rounding out a polished and commanding silhouette.

An air of command and competence surrounds Miyaguni. From her seat among the leadership she frequently issues directives and chairs the round-table sessions. She breaks from the corruption that defined earlier heads of the institution, favoring a calculated, results-driven approach. While Dabura Karaba and Mahoraga were locked in their duel, she coordinated the evacuation smoothly and reshaped the barrier so that cursed spirits were funneled out toward the sea. She instructed the sorcerers in the chamber to remain vigilant, intent on sparing every human life apart from Yuka Okkotsu's, choosing to honor that girl's sacrifice.

There is a fearsome quality to her as well, enough that Tsurugi Okkotsu is visibly frightened in her presence.

How far Miyaguni's power truly reaches has not been revealed, yet her grade 1 ranking marks her as formidable. In her youth she trained under both Aoi Todo and Yuji Itadori. Beyond the innate technique she carries, her command of the New Shadow Style is that of a true expert, and within that art she stands as Tsurugi's senior.

Her surname blends the character for shrine or palace with the one for country or nation, the latter shifting in sound through rendaku when it trails the former, while her given name joins the characters for thousand and for sunshine.
