Appearance

An aged ascetic in look, Dhruv keeps a well-toned body, and his eyes turn outward. Baldness claims the front and crown of his head while long pale hair streams from the back, falling past his shoulders and curling up at the tips. The lone ornament across his brow is a Matha Patti, multi-chained in the traditional style. A thick mustache sits above a beard divided into three sections, and beyond a dark loincloth he goes unclothed.

Personality

Almost nothing of Dhruv's inner character has been shown. What surfaces is his readiness to plunge into the savagery of the Culling Game, where he cut down sorcerers and ordinary people alike without distinction, the very indiscriminate cruelty that put him in Yuta Okkotsu's sights.

History

Long ago, during the Civil War of Wa, Japan's earliest recorded conflict, Dhruv overran the whole archipelago on his own. He later mastered self-incarnation, a trick he had already used once before his modern return, which means he had died at least once and found a way to cheat death. With Kenjaku's aid he incarnated for the second time through his vessel on the night of the Shibuya Incident, October 31, 2018.

From at least November 1, 2018, Dhruv competed in the Culling Game inside the Sendai Colony, and by November 12 his tally stood at 91 points. Four players sat locked in a tense deadlock, and his innate technique put him among them, posing such a hard problem for Kurourushi that the latter went dormant to wait out Dhruv's death. The end came when Yuta Okkotsu killed him in Sendai, the clock reading 11:28 AM.
