Personality

Little is documented about Shino's character, though he comes across as deeply loyal to the Kamo family and stubbornly sure of what he knows, a certainty that persisted even after Kenjaku altered his mind. Taking Noritoshi for an intruder, the old man treats the boy with hostility and grumbles his disappointment in the clan's guards, bristling with anger when Noritoshi questions whether he can really identify the family's heir.

History

At 11:05 PM on November 3rd, with the Shibuya Incident behind him, Noritoshi Kamo came home to his family's estate, intent on reaching Yoshinobu Gakuganji and the rest of the major clans. Across the grounds, which seemed deserted, the lone soul he encountered was Shino, a man who failed to know the young master at all. Their quarrel grew heated until Noritoshi turned suspicious, catching the fact that Shino addressed the current head using an ancestral Noritoshi's name. Leaving the attendant behind, the young sorcerer pressed deeper into the house, where he found the master's quarters occupied: lounging there was Kenjaku, the very curse user who had orchestrated the chaos in Shibuya, now having seized control of the clan. Kenjaku told Noritoshi to pay Shino no mind, since the old man's memory had been manipulated to convince him he was living a hundred and fifty years in the past. What Shino can actually do as a sorcerer has never been revealed.
