Life resets after the Mahito clash as Yuji returns to school to a far chillier welcome than he hoped, while the curses plot to reclaim the Sukuna fingers and the Kyoto students arrive carrying secret orders to kill the resurrected vessel.
At a forest hot spring, Jogo, Mahito, and Kenjaku in Geto's body weigh their next move. Mahito's failed bid to leverage Sukuna's vessel is reviewed, and Kenjaku notes that binding vows require willing consent, so the King of Curses would never cooperate anyway. The trio agree to court Sukuna by gathering his fingers, content to see a curse-ruled world even if they do not survive to share it, and Kenjaku reveals his scheme to reclaim the six fingers held at Jujutsu High, having deliberately let the school take them.
On the school side, Gojo needles Nanami while they wait for Yuji's comeback. Nanami withheld from Yuji the detail that a planted finger caused Nagi Yoshino's death, submitting it to the higher-ups instead. Yuji bounds in, eager to reunite with friends and meet the second-years and the visiting Kyoto students, and is stunned when Megumi and Nobara react with alarm rather than joy at his return. Panda clarifies that the Goodwill Event happens in Tokyo this year because Yuta dominated the last one.
The Kyoto delegation arrives, and Yaga lays out the Team Battle format, a Spirit Bash Race in which the first squad to exorcise a roaming grade 2 curse wins, or the team with the most exorcisms claims victory by sunset. In private, Principal Gakuganji orders his students to kill Yuji with cursed energy so he cannot return; Todo storms off, and Noritoshi rallies the rest to strike together. Gojo separately meets Utahime over suspicion of a mole tied to curse users. As the event opens, the fired-up Tokyo team heads out, only for Maki to kick Yuji aside for trying to lead.
The curses settle on collecting Sukuna's fingers and plan to retake the six stored at Jujutsu High. Yuji rejoins his class to a deflating welcome and is formally reinstated. Yaga explains the Spirit Bash Race rules. Gakuganji secretly orders the Kyoto team to assassinate Yuji. Gojo and Utahime discuss a possible internal traitor working with curses. The Goodwill Event begins.
Adapting Chapters 32 and 33, the episode opens the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc with the new theme songs VIVID VICE and give it back. It introduces Momo Nishimiya, Noritoshi Kamo, Kokichi Muta as Mechamaru, and Utahime Iori, and is the first since the third episode to draw on only two chapters. A Juju Stroll short shows Todo watching the idol Takada-chan on television.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
