A grade 1 sorcerer in his third year at Kyoto Jujutsu High, Aoi Todo blends overwhelming muscle, oddball bravado, and a razor tactical mind. Mentored by Yuki Tsukumo, he fixates on Yuji Itadori as his sworn best friend and grows into one of the cast's strongest, least predictable fighters.
Towering over nearly everyone, at roughly Satoru Gojo's height, Todo is densely muscled with tanned skin. Small black eyes sit beneath dark hair worn shoulder-length and bound into a top-knot, its loose strands fanning into rounded tips that nod to the floral sense of his name. The long scar slashing down his face's left side, a souvenir of savage drills with Yuki, counts among his most recognizable traits.
He wears his uniform loosely, as a rule peeling off the jacket and ripping his undershirt ahead of or during a fight, and matches martial arts pants belted by a vivid blue sash with plain slippers. The Shibuya Incident cost him his left hand, which he severed himself to dodge Mahito's transfiguration, and mangled his right palm in a swap with Yuji. Come the Shinjuku Showdown, a vibraslap stands in for the lost hand, the stump bound in bandages.
Todo is an eccentric whose noisy posing and craving for combat strike most peers as nothing but meatheaded. A large slice of who he is revolves around worship of the tall pop idol Nobuko Takada, a subject he raises endlessly, will not miss an appearance of, and even pictures chatting with inside his own head. A powerful yet bored child, he found his life turned upside down when Yuki Tsukumo appeared and asked what sort of girls he fancied, a line he claimed as his trademark.
Nothing repels him like boredom, which is why he uses that question to size people up, their replies drawing either praise or a thrashing. A dull answer from Megumi got the first-year beaten, while Yuji's matching taste sparked the opposite response and a vivid fabricated memory of a lifelong bond that Todo sincerely believes happened. From then on Yuji is his brother. Under the showmanship lies a reflective, almost philosophical man who delights in growing Yuji's talent, teaching him to channel cursed energy by treating mind, body, and soul as one indivisible thing.
His self-assurance rarely cracks, even at the worst moments. Amid the Shibuya Incident he stayed composed, saw at once that the Prison Realm was already gone, and chose to reach his battered brother over chasing Gojo. Finding a broken, despondent Yuji, Todo would not let him surrender, insisting that so long as a single sorcerer fights on, the dead are never truly beaten, and that a sorcerer's only real punishment is to keep pressing forward in search of meaning.
Todo sits among the very strongest students at Jujutsu High, climbing to grade 1 while still enrolled despite a non-sorcerer family background. Early on, in Kyoto during the Night Parade, that hundred-demon onslaught, he took down by himself five grade 1 cursed spirits along with a single special grade, deploying his innate technique solely against the special grade, which spawned the rumor that he had bested all six curses without it. His raw might exceeds Maki's and Panda's and matches Yuji's, enough to flatten Megumi outright and batter Yuji at the opening of their clash.
As a master of close-range fighting, he prefers brutal hand-to-hand work, punches, forearm smashes, stomps, and suplexes, over jujutsu, leaning on blistering speed to land hit after hit before foes can answer. His command of cursed energy is masterful, flowing it through every part of his body to keep his motions unreadable, hardening his strikes enough to vaporize low-grade curses, sheathing his frame for defense, and feeding it into cursed tools. Against Mahito he also let loose Black Flash, the effect that ignites cursed energy within a sliver of a second of impact to multiply a blow's force.
Boogie Woogie is his innate technique, swapping the places of anything bearing cursed energy in range at the sound of a clap; he can switch with another person or rearrange two outside parties, and the clap need not involve both of his own hands. After his left hand was gone he engineered Boogie Woogie: Revised, retriggering swaps by a metal piece striking his vibraslap's wooden box, allowing around fifty swaps each second. From Yuki he picked up New Shadow Style: Simple Domain to counter domains, and he memorably used Boogie Woogie to call in the special-grade cursed tool Playful Cloud, cracking Hanami's reinforced shell. A formidable tactician who jokingly cites an IQ of 530,000, his coaching transformed Yuji from a middling fighter into one able to challenge special grades.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
Aoi Todo is devoted to the tall pop idol Nobuko Takada, an obsession he raises constantly and never misses an appearance of, even imagining conversations with her in his head. His trademark line, asking people what type of women they like, grew out of that same fixation.
During the Shibuya Incident, Aoi Todo severed his own left hand to escape Mahito's transfiguration and mangled his right palm in a Boogie Woogie swap with Yuji. He survives, and by the Shinjuku Showdown he uses a vibraslap in place of the lost hand.
Aoi Todo is not Yuji Itadori's brother by blood. After Yuji answered his signature question with a matching taste in women, Todo invented a vivid false memory of a lifelong bond that he sincerely believes happened, and from then on he treats Yuji as his best friend and brother.
In Jujutsu Kaisen, Aoi Todo is the tactician who jokingly claims an IQ of 530,000. He is a genuinely formidable strategist whose coaching turned Yuji from a middling fighter into one able to challenge special grades.
Aoi Todo's innate technique is Boogie Woogie, which swaps the positions of anything carrying cursed energy within range at the sound of a clap. After losing his left hand he engineered Boogie Woogie: Revised, retriggering swaps with a vibraslap to allow roughly fifty swaps each second.
