Summary

On October 31st, Satoru Gojo squares off against Jogo and Hanami on a packed subway platform deep beneath the Hikarie Building. He removes his blindfold, taunts the two curses for telling him not to flee, and steps directly between them, daring them to strike. When they oblige, he parries Jogo by touching him, tears the curse's arm off, and uses the loose limb to soak up Hanami's follow-up before booting both away. With Limitless briefly switched off, the curses think they have an opening.

Hanami misreads Gojo's intent and decides to activate their own innate technique, which forces them to drop Domain Amplification. That was exactly the bait. Gojo darts in, seizes the branches on Hanami's head, and rips the roots out of their body, a weakness he was tipped off about beforehand. Choso's Piercing Blood ricochets off a reactivated Infinity, and Gojo notes the Death Painting womb but sets him aside for being passive. He then expands Infinity's range, pins Hanami to a wall, and grinds the curse into dust, exorcising it in front of Jogo before turning to ask who is next.

Key Events

Mahito's plan to seal Gojo requires keeping him near Prison Realm for a full minute. Jogo, refusing to waste Hanami's death, switches to hit-and-run tactics, hurling civilians and pressing Choso to keep firing blood. At Meiji-Jingumae, Yuji learns from a doomed survivor that the population was turned into monsters and loaded onto a train heading straight for the platform. The train unloads roughly a thousand transfigured humans into the crowd, and Mahito steps off to join the slaughter.

With curses launching wide attacks on the bystanders, Gojo gambles. He opens Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void for only two-tenths of a second, his estimate of the longest a non-sorcerer can survive inside without lasting harm. The flash paralyzes everyone on the floor, and he sprints through the chaos, dismantling all one thousand monsters in under five minutes before collapsing into exhausted breaths. That fatigue is the window the enemy needed. Prison Realm appears behind him, and the figure of Geto steps out, freezing Gojo with confusion long enough for the seal to take hold.

Notes

The episode adapts material spanning Volume 10 and several chapters from the manga's Shibuya arc. It opens with a flashback in which Gojo's associates describe him in wildly different ways, teacher, benefactor, idiot, all agreeing only that he is undeniably the strongest. The man wearing Geto's face reveals himself as an imposter who swapped out Suguru Geto's brain, dismissing Yuta Okkotsu as no threat. The episode closes with Mechamaru's relay device informing Yuji that Gojo has been sealed. Several beats differ from the manga, including the order of Gojo's strikes against Jogo and where the imposter appears beside Prison Realm.
