Fuza is the enormous Three-length Bird ridden by the Skypiean priest Shura. Carrying its master across Skypiea and breathing fire thanks to a Flame Dial, this winged mount serves as both transport and a long-range weapon during the conflict on the Upper Yard.
Fuza is a massive purple-feathered bird with vast wings spread over a bulky frame large enough to bear a grown man. A ruff of red plumage circles its neck, while its head is white and tipped with a sharp beak above yellow eyes. The tail continues the purple coloring with paler extensions, and its legs end in white claws armed with sharp black talons.
The bird is dutiful, faithfully carrying out whatever Shura commands and displaying a thoroughly obedient nature toward its master.
Fuza's size lets it lift a full-grown rider, giving Shura a clear edge over ground-bound foes and letting the pair soar above the Ordeal of String where wire traps wait below. Having swallowed a Flame Dial, the bird can also spew fire, turning itself into a living, airborne flamethrower able to strike from nearly any angle with a long stream of flame. During the Skypiea conflict, Fuza bore Shura while the priests pursued an intruder and was halted along with the others when Wyper opened fire. It then carried Shura to the Sacrificial Altar, where the two torched the Going Merry despite Chopper's protests, and later saved its master from a fall during his sky battle with Gan Fall. When Shandian warriors stormed the Upper Yard, Fuza spat flames at the attackers and supported Shura through his duel with Wyper. After Shura was beaten, the bird took flight and vanished, its fate left unrecorded.
