Pliabody

Character

Pliabody hands its owner a body that behaves more like rubber sheeting than flesh, stretching thin and squashing flat on command. The Pro Hero Tiger leans on it to squeeze into places nobody else can reach, and to wrap up anyone who needs holding still.

Overview

Registered as a Transformation Quirk with a close range rating, Pliabody belongs to Yawara Chatora, the Pro Hero who works under the name Tiger. The power reshapes his own frame rather than anything around him, letting him pull himself long or press himself flat whenever he chooses. It debuts in Chapter 81, and the anime introduces it in Episode 44.

Mechanics

Everything the Quirk offers comes down to extreme flexibility. Tiger stretches and compresses at will, so a gap far too small for an ordinary rescuer becomes a route he can simply thread himself through, which makes the ability well suited to rescue work. That same softness pays off in a fight. Blows slide past a target that can bend out of the way, and a limb that keeps extending doubles as a rope, letting him bind an opponent the way cuffs or other restraint gear would.

Notable Users

Tiger is the only confirmed holder. The Quirk is often set beside Elasticity, since the two work as mirror images of each other. Elasticity makes the terrain around its user springy, while Pliabody turns the user's own flesh into the elastic material.
