Nagamasa Mora

Thick light brown hair covers every inch of him, so there is almost nothing to read except his eyes, which surface only occasionally. That coat is the Quirk itself, Extend-o-Hair, which lets him lengthen and steer the growth at will.

His costume is minimal: dark trousers, a belt, and the peaked cap issued with the Shiketsu uniform. The post-timeskip version adds an orange pair of goggles and a collar in black.

The design is an acknowledged nod to Chewbacca, and his hero name is a corruption of that character's nickname.

Where Inasa Yoarashi runs hot and Seiji Shishikura runs arrogant, Nagamasa is measured and polite, and he goes out of his way to keep relations with Class 1-A cordial rather than competitive.

The politeness has teeth. He holds his own classmates to a strict line, checks recklessness and hostility when he sees it, and will not let an insult to Shiketsu's reputation stand; official material notes his Quirk activates when rage takes him, which usually means someone has dragged his school's image through the dirt. His teachers named him class representative on the strength of grades and conduct, the adults in his orbit rate his character highly, and the databook labels him an exemplary leader. Hairdressing is his hobby. As a natural planner he was among the first to move once the rescue phase of the licensing exam began, which says enough about his decision-making under pressure.

June brings the Provisional Hero License Exam to the Takoba National Stadium, and the Shiketsu berets are recognized on sight. Katsuki Bakugo places them as the western school considered a match for U.A. The opening phase asks each examinee to wear three targets and eliminate two rivals with the six balls they are issued, with only the first hundred to clear it advancing. Most of the field throws itself into the informal tradition of hunting U.A. students, but Nagamasa stays out of the brawl and simply banks his marks. Told that Seiji washed out, he remarks that the boy's self-regard did him in and asks Inasa to lower his voice.

He then approaches Katsuki to apologize on Seiji's behalf, explaining that the rudeness was a clumsy attempt at making an impression, that Shiketsu holds no hostility toward U.A., and that he would like the two schools on good terms.

The second phase converts sections of the stadium into disaster zones staffed by Help Us Company actors playing civilians caught in a terrorist attack. Examinees start at a hundred points and fail below fifty, with monitors deducting for inefficiency and mistakes. Nagamasa goes straight into the rubble alongside every Shiketsu student who cleared the opening round. Watching Inasa move victims with individual gusts of wind, precise but crude enough to cost points, he tells him not to act before confirming the state of the environment and the condition of the injured, and Inasa accepts the correction. When Gang Orca and his sidekicks ambush the exam as pretend villains, Inasa and Shoto Todoroki answer first, fusing wind and fire into a wall of flame, and Nagamasa moves in behind them once his rescuees are clear, dropping sidekicks with his hair. He passes. Inasa and Camie Utsushimi do not. On the way out, Izuku Midoriya asks him about Shiketsu's camouflage training; Nagamasa answers honestly that no such training exists, adding that something about Camie has been off for three days, neither of them aware that the girl at the exam was Himiko Toga wearing her face.

Years later, with All For One's army massing, the Shiketsu hero course is assigned to escort U.A.'s evacuees through the tunnel connecting the two schools. Nobody arrives, so Nagamasa's group assumes the plan has collapsed and heads for the Gunga Mountain Ruins, finding the heroes there buried under Twice Doubles. Inasa's Whirlwind clears the clones and the assembled heroes pour long-range fire into All For One, standing their ground rather than scattering while he taunts them about a golden age they were never born into. Fumikage Tokoyami, having amassed Dark Shadow to Total Release and riding Inasa's wind, drives the villain into the ground with Black Abyss: Light of Baldur, only for a nuclear blast to scatter Dark Shadow and let a visibly younger All For One escape.

Nagamasa stays behind with others to hold the endless Double swarm while the chase goes on. Himiko's Sad Man's Death Parade nearly buries them until Ochaco Uraraka's awakened Quirk lifts the entire ocean of clones long enough for the transformations to lapse. Once Shota Aizawa gains control of Kurogiri, Nagamasa and his classmates volunteer for teleportation to Mount Fuji, arriving with the massed heroes to help Izuku carve a path to Tomura Shigaraki.
