Team Purple Revolution

The unit came together for Hero Work-Studies, putting one professional in charge of three teenagers still enrolled at U.A. High School: Shota Aizawa, Oboro Shirakumo, and Nemuri Kayama. Tenma Nakaoji, working as His Purple Highness, led them out of the Purple Revolution Agency.

Field experience was the point of the arrangement, though the leader pushed a second lesson just as hard. He wanted his trainees to keep a smile up even on bad days, on the reasoning that a calm looking hero keeps civilians calm too. Day to day, the work rarely went past street patrols with the occasional villain to run down.

Measured purely by firepower, the group was unremarkable. Their Quirks leaned technical instead of combative, and three of the four were still learning the job. What they did have was coordination, and the students proved capable of stacking their abilities together well enough to finish fights they had no business winning alone.

During their second year, neither Shota nor Oboro had landed a Hero Office placement. Nemuri, a year ahead of them, passed along that her own boss would take on anyone who asked, and both accepted the opening. That is how the three students ended up under His Purple Highness and the team took its name.

Their opening assignment targeted Robber Villain. The thief got away on the first attempt, but Shota and Oboro brought him in on the second. The trainees then spent a few days back at U.A. demonstrating what the placement had taught them before returning to the agency to continue.

On patrol soon after, the team ran into Garvey, an enormous villain already tearing through the city who had brushed aside the hero team Buster Union without difficulty. Mr. Purple told his trainees to call for reinforcements and clear civilians out while he stalled the giant, and he was beaten just as easily. During the exchange, Garvey's blows destabilized a building above a group of schoolchildren.

Oboro used his Quirk to shield the kids and saved every one of them, but he had nothing left to guard himself and the collapse buried him. That left Shota alone against Garvey, and through sheer technique and a measure of luck he brought the villain down by himself. Police made the arrest, medics treated the wounded, and Mr. Purple survived his injuries with a hospital stay. Oboro did not. When crews cleared the debris they found he had been killed, a loss that hit his teammates hard and devastated Shota above all.

Tenma Nakaoji, the Pro Hero His Purple Highness, headed the team and owned the agency the students trained under. His name, like the team's, nods toward the color most associated with the musician Prince and the backing group known as The Revolution.

Nemuri Kayama, later famous as Midnight, was the third year who recruited her two underclassmen into the arrangement. Shota Aizawa, who would go on to work as Eraser Head, entered as a second year and left the placement carrying the weight of what happened to his friend.

Oboro Shirakumo, known while training as Loud Cloud, rounded out the roster. His death against Garvey ended the team, which has been inactive ever since.
