Chapter 110

Inasa Yoarashi lifts rubble and shifts the injured with individually shaped gusts of Whirlwind. One rescued civilian marvels at the precision, yet still judges the handling rough and takes points off. Nagamasa Mora adds his own correction: acting before confirming the state of the site or the condition of the wounded is a mistake, and Inasa accepts it with an apology. Camie Utsushimi, meanwhile, has slipped away from his group. Watching from the sidelines, Seiji Shishikura remarks on Inasa attempting an exam normally reserved for second-years and having his ability recognized. Seiji's teacher raises the subject of Stain's influence on him, which Seiji finds ridiculous. The teacher has no issue with fundamentalist ideas, since plenty of people want the current approach to Heroes reconsidered, but he does object to hatred steering those ideas and clouding Seiji's judgment.

Across the wreckage, the rescues continue. Momo Yaoyorozu finds the grandfather of the child Izuku Midoriya pulled out earlier and confirms he is conscious. Ochaco Uraraka moves to clear debris, but Momo halts her over a wall about to give way. Momo creates metal pillars, Hanta Sero binds them with Tape, and with the wall braced, Ochaco starts the dig. The old man rates the work by Momo, Ochaco, Hanta, and Rikido Sato as far from shabby. Efficiency is the point, he reflects: cooperate, know what your Quirk cannot do, and split the roles out. Accepting one narrow job is the hard part, and only a firm grasp of the situation makes it possible. Minoru Mineta and Tenya Ida chafe at having nothing to contribute. Mezo Shoji proposes that Class 1-A break into smaller units, and Tenya wants coordination with the other schools too. Yuga Aoyama lights the scene for another examinee with his Navel Laser.

Elsewhere, two civilians with hurt arms ask Katsuki Bakugo for help and get refused, since their legs work fine and he tells them to manage on their own. Eijiro Kirishima and Denki Kaminari step in instead. The pair are disgusted enough by Katsuki's attitude to dock him points. Izuku reaches the makeshift shelter and passes the child to a female examinee with a proper report: a minor head wound, some bleeding, responses normal.

Somewhere above it all, an unseen figure observes that Heroes serve as stopgap rescuers until the real teams arrive, then requests a status update from Yokumiru Mera. Mera reports fewer deductions from the Help Us Company staff and rescue work going well.

An explosion tears through the site and pulls every head around. The observer turns out to be Gang Orca, flanked by a dozen grunts. Mera notes the man was present at the Kamino Incident, ranks tenth among Heroes, and places third on the list of Heroes who look most like villains. The broadcast goes out: villains are here, and the examinees must subdue them while the rescues continue. Gang Orca leads the charge, curious how these Heroes will answer his presence.

The examinees press on with the rescue portion of the Provisional Hero License Exam, scored by Help Us Company members embedded as victims.

Inasa's precision draws praise and deductions at once, while Katsuki's refusal to assist injured civilians costs him points outright.

Gang Orca and his sidekicks arrive cast as villains, disrupting the trainees mid-operation and opening the exam's combat phase.

Kohei Horikoshi's one hundred and tenth chapter published on October 10, 2016 in issue 45 of that year, ran seventeen pages, and was collected in the thirteenth volume. It belongs to the Provisional Hero License Exam arc, between Chapter 109 and Chapter 111, and is adapted as Episode 57.

Inasa Yoarashi and Nagamasa Mora appear on the cover, which also has a sketch version. Takoba National Stadium is the sole location.

Horikoshi's author comment mentions taking up muscle training and finding stairs much easier as a result.
