Chapter 147

Sir Nighteye's group is making poor progress against Mimic's interference. When the villain tries to squeeze the corridor shut around them, Rock Lock pins the collapsing space in place with his Quirk, and Deku kicks apart a wall thrown at them. Rock Lock wishes Fat Gum's team were still with them, while Eraser Head chafes at being unable to spot Mimic's actual body.

Mimic is not comfortable either. Working a mass that large costs him proportional physical strain, and hours of manipulating the basement have worn him down, which is quietly making the heroes' escape easier. He is by nature a cautious man, careful about small things because his Quirk has a ceiling, and that prudence is how he became general manager. The attempt to crush the squad outright came from panic: the drugs boosting his Quirk are thinning out and the heroes are closing in. Even so, he refuses to let them through. Izuku, thinking of Ryukyu's team and every hero and officer who fought to get them this far, refuses to be stopped by Overhaul's subordinates.

The space suddenly opens. Izuku charges and Shota halts him, and the two find themselves cut off, with Sir Nighteye and several officers sealed elsewhere and Rock Lock alone in a third pocket. A knife comes at Rock Lock from behind and he catches it barehanded, then strikes, only for the real Himiko Toga to grapple him from another angle: the one he hit had been a Twice-made double. Hearing the shout, Izuku uses Full Cowl to smash through, and he and Shota find Rock Lock down with a second Rock Lock beside him complaining about an impostor. Shota moves to check the body while the standing one turns a knife on Izuku, and Erasure fires first. The disguise dissolves back into Himiko, delighted that Izuku remembered her name. Shota's capturing weapon reaches her, but she hauls herself in along it, twists past him, and puts the knife into his back before leaping clear. Shota waves Izuku off and realizes Mimic reshaped the space specifically to let the League in.

A flashback fills in the arrangement. During his meeting with Kai, Tomura Shigaraki was introduced to shogi and told the appeal lies in using the pieces captured from an opponent. On that model Kai proposed a loan: Twice and Himiko, or else Kurogiri, since he preferred them not roaming loose. Tomura balked at giving up the cornerstone of his League, and Kai argued the trade would build trust between two groups with bad blood between them.

Elsewhere in the sealed maze, Twice and a Rappa clone step in front of Sir Nighteye.

Nighteye's squad fights through Mimic's shifting corridors, and Mimic's exhaustion and drug use are explained.

The heroes are separated, and Himiko and Twice ambush them, with Himiko stabbing Eraser Head while impersonating Rock Lock.

Kai's shogi pitch to Tomura is shown, revealing how Twice and Himiko came to be working for the Shie Hassaikai; Twice and a Rappa clone confront Sir Nighteye.

Titled Twoga!!, the chapter ran on July 31, 2017 in issue 35, runs seventeen pages, and is collected in volume 16. Episode 73 adapts it.

The title is a portmanteau built from the names Twice and Himiko Toga. Mimic, Sir Nighteye, Deku, Eraser Head, and Rock Lock share the cover.

Transform, Erasure, One For All, Lock Down, and Mimicry feature, with Deadbolt and Full Cowl as super moves and the Eraser Goggles and Capturing Weapon as items. The Nighteye Squad's fight against Toga and Twice begins here. Horikoshi's comment observes that a good bath solves many of life's problems.
