Summary

Izuku and Mashirao take in Hitoshi's prototype costume. Privately, Izuku notes that Brainwashing was what let him glimpse the men and women who carried One For All before him, then brushes the connection off as coincidence.

Told by Shota to introduce himself, Hitoshi tells both classes that being this far behind means working as hard as he possibly can to make up the lost ground. He declares he will become a great hero and turn his Quirk toward helping people, and finishes by saying he is not there to make friends. Everyone applauds, and Hanta remarks that it could be Shoto talking, back at the start of the year.

Sekijiro lays out the exercise. Groups of four from each class fight their opposite number, and Hitoshi rides along with 1-A's first team. Winning means incapacitating all four opponents inside twenty minutes. The clock starts and the opening match begins. Midnight asks All Might for a prediction, and he says 1-A has been collecting more tangible real-world experience, but the rival class has gained more ground, having kept clear of trouble and built their skills steadily.

The first bout fields Hitoshi alongside Tsuyu, Eijiro, Denki, and Koji, with Hiryu, Jurota, Ibara, and Kosei answering for the other side. Tsuyu vanishes into camouflage while Ibara sends vines sweeping outward to probe the ground, until Jurota barrels in with Beast active and lands on Eijiro and Tsuyu. Kosei follows close behind and seals Koji inside a soundproof box. The round is going badly until Jurota catches "Tsuburaba" calling encouragement and answers back. The voice is Hitoshi's, borrowed through his new support gear for a move he calls Persona Chords.
