Summary

A flashback to before the match shows Hitoshi walking the training ground with his team, explaining Brainwashing along with its limits, including how a strong enough physical shock frees a controlled target. Tsuyu tells him that even accounting for the drawbacks, the Quirk stays powerful against anyone who does not know how it works. He then shows off Persona Code, his new mask, which lets him borrow other people's voices.

Back in the match, Hitoshi moves to bind a brainwashed Jurota using his own copy of Shota's capture gear. Before he can, Kosei boxes him inside Solid Air, then raps Jurota's skull hard enough to snap the control, returning him to the fight. Denki charges in using Electrification as a defense, and Jurota hurls him away violently despite the shock. Tsuyu jumps in, catches Kosei with her tongue, and hauls him to the jail, eliminating him from the round.

Barely troubled by the electricity, Jurota chases Tsuyu. Eijiro and Koji step into his lane, so he reverts to human form to squeeze between them and shifts back on the other side. He throws Eijiro into the air for Ibara's vines to catch, then retreats carrying Koji with his mouth muffled, and both 1-A students are jailed. Over in the other cell, Kosei cannot stop blushing about the tongue.

With the skirmish finished, Tsuyu cracks the air box around Hitoshi and remarks that this construction far outclasses what Kosei managed back at the Sports Festival. Sekijiro savors his class's opening success while 1-A's onlookers trade notes on how strong, fast, and sharp-nosed Jurota is. Those still in the match work out a better use for Hitoshi's Quirk. He apologizes for being slow on the capture, and Tsuyu takes the blame for going in without a plan. Denki tells him he likes him, the "not here to make friends" speech notwithstanding.

Tsuyu's plan turns on the pointer Denki tagged Jurota with, a Mei Hatsume item that lets his visor track the target, and on the slime she reveals under her costume sleeve. As Jurota, Ibara, and Hiryu question how rushed the other side's plan looks, he detects three Tsuyus coming their way, and Ibara braces for the attack.
