Chapter 215

Blackwhip snags the scenery as Izuku Midoriya lines Hitoshi Shinso up. The power feels like an ally now, the seaside training with All Might comes back to him, and nothing seems out of reach. Vlad King shouts at the sight of the tendrils and All Might reads a difference from the earlier outburst, guessing Zero Gravity had been focusing it. Something changed in those few minutes, and it worries him.

Hitoshi dodges clear, sour, asking whether the earlier struggle was theater and regretting the Brainwashing that saved him. Blackwhip then sputters out and pain doubles Izuku over: One For All's raw output has been stacked onto it, more than his body can carry. Hitoshi is already fleeing, so Izuku takes a breath and gives chase. With brainwashing spent as an option, distance is the play. Hitoshi silently apologizes to Neito Monoma for the failed rescue and swings off, reasoning that Izuku's long-range work turns any 1-B mistake into an opening, so his team has to make Izuku the priority.

Bound and floating toward the cell, Neito flings a pipe at Ochaco Uraraka with Poltergeist and she slips it. Five minutes have run out, she notes, so his window on his teammates' Quirks should be closing. He needles her, claiming he could have stretched it to ten, and asks whether she likes her odds alone. Her silence tells him how wary Hitoshi's Quirk left all of 1-A. Asked how many Quirks he holds at once, she counts the clocks on his belt and raises three fingers, and he slyly floats a fourth. As she nudges him inside, he lays out the mechanics: only one Quirk runs at a time, but effects already produced linger through a swap unless they act directly on his body. She locks the cell and he laughs, certain she missed it.

Ochaco runs back, uneasy. Hiryu Rin notices Hitoshi steering toward his teammates for the capture, and Jurota Shishida remarks on the pressure he brings. Hitoshi looks back at Izuku closing fast, and then something smashes Izuku's face and throws him off line: Twin Impact, planted the moment Neito made contact to lift One For All, fired from inside the cell.

Minoru Mineta eats a punch from Nirengeki Shoda, who has learned to read his moves, and Reiko Yanagi flings metal at Mina Ashido. Izuku shakes off the blast and resumes his run. Hitoshi throws the Capturing Weapon to subdue him; Izuku grabs it instead and reels a startled Hitoshi in. Ochaco chops Reiko unconscious, then shoves Yui Kodai into a wall already seeded with Pop Off balls. Nirengeki's dismay ends under Mina's uppercut as she and Minoru turn things around, and Izuku lands on Hitoshi and pins him.

All Might notices Blackwhip behaving unlike Izuku's first uncontrolled use of it.

Izuku learns his body cannot carry the Quirk once One For All's output is stacked onto it.

Neito's copied Twin Impact staggers Izuku, opening a window for Hitoshi.

Ochaco removes Reiko and Yui from the fight, and Izuku pins Hitoshi down.
