Chapter 360

Pinned to the floor, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight hears Tomura Shigaraki note that Izuku was supposed to be here too, and that he cannot be far off. Dynamight tries to fight his way loose and gets kicked upward and caught by the throat instead. Tomura remarks that having his Quirks erased is convenient, since it means there will be a corpse left over. He remembers how completely Izuku lost control when he stabbed Dynamight during the war, and decides the body will make a lovely present. Dynamight sees a flash of himself torn apart by an endless mass of fingers while Tomura tells him to face facts: all those years of wanting to be All Might, and he will always stand in the shadow of Izuku and One For All.

Nejire Chan arrives with a Nejire Wave: Pike aimed straight at him. Tomura simply holds Dynamight up as a shield, forcing her to bend the shot away at the last instant. With his back turned, Suneater drives a Vast Hybrid: Octopus Mirage into him laced with Scorpius Toxin, pumping venom in. Tomura grows a mouth, spits the poison back out, and more mouths bud along the finger waves. He tells the heroes his body reshapes and adapts on the fly and that nothing they have will put him down.

In the confusion Lemillion phases through and lifts Dynamight clear, passing him to Best Jeanist. Tomura recognises him from Jaku, and Lemillion introduces himself as the one handling messenger and bodyguard work, intercepting attacks and keeping information moving with the speed he can cover ground at. Asked why he destroys everything, Tomura answers that the systems in place have already failed. Nejire pours Wave Motion into Lemillion's arm as he replies that Tomura never had a single friend, a line that visibly confuses the villain. Knowing his own strength alone is meaningless here but that he can steer Nejire's energy into the target, Lemillion lands a point blank punch and says that if Tomura did have friends, he would know how much is worth keeping.

Off to the side, Best Jeanist starts stitching Dynamight's arm back together, since they still need his firepower. Reading the defeat on the boy's face, he repeats his worry that Dynamight's past experience against Tomura no longer counts for anything, and promises they will find a way through regardless. Then Dynamight manages to get out the words "right side finger feint", and Best Jeanist understands. After everything he just absorbed, the fight is still in him, and it shows in his eyes.

Tomura sets out to make a corpse of Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, calculating that the death will send Izuku into a rage. Nejire Chan and Suneater both debut new Ultimate Moves against him, and although Suneater's venom lands, Tomura's body adapts and grows mouths across itself to expel it.

Lemillion pulls Dynamight out and hands him to Best Jeanist, then channels Nejire's Wave Motions through his fists to strike Tomura. Battered as he is, Dynamight signals Best Jeanist that he already has a plan to hit back.

Despite Everything... occupies slot 360 in the manga by Kohei Horikoshi. Fifteen pages long and collected in Volume 36, it ran in issue 34 of 2022 on July 25, with Tomura Shigaraki and Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight on the cover.

The chapter is part of the Final War arc and was adapted as Episode 149. It first carried the title Despite It All..., changed for the volume release. Horikoshi's author comment expresses shock and offers a farewell to Takahashi Sensei.
