David Wald is an American voice actor whose anime dub credits include Gajeel Redfox in Fairy Tail and Hannes in Attack on Titan, and in the English dub of My Hero Academia he voices the Pro Hero Snipe.
Wald voices Snipe, a U.A. High School faculty member and Pro Hero who wields a pair of modified guns as part of his quirk, Homing, which locks onto a visible target and makes any projectile he fires chase after it. He held the role across the earlier seasons of the English dub. Wald has also voiced Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, the steel-skinned Class 1-B student known as Real Steel, in later installments of the franchise.
Wald built much of his career at Funimation and the Texas dub scene that grew from ADV Films, later Seraphim Digital and Sentai Filmworks. His credits include Fairy Tail's Gajeel Redfox, Halo Legends' Master Chief, and Bulat from Akame ga Kill!, and he has also worked as an ADR director on several yuri and yaoi titles at Sentai. Wald is openly gay and has spoken about pushing for more positive queer representation within anime dubbing.
