Sabiru

Character

Sabiru was a respected strategist in the Hidden Leaf's tactical division during the Third Hokage's era, praised for a defense plan meant to secure the village for good. Behind that loyal facade lay a spy and killer, exposed by the Anbu Kisuke Maboroshi and eventually silenced by Kabuto.

Personality

To outward eyes he looked like a promising ninja devoted to his village's safety and wellbeing. That image masked a ruthless streak: Sabiru felt nothing about murdering a helpless woman or finishing off a comatose foe who could not resist.

History

Sabiru served in Konohagakure's tactical and defensive branch under the Third Hokage, and the security scheme he devised so impressed the leader that the Third believed it could guarantee lasting peace. The praise was warranted only in that it showed real intelligence, unusual for his age; in truth the whole design was cover for his work as an infiltrator. He commanded the Shadow Clone Technique and favored traps, once pairing a clone with explosive tags to hurl the Anbu Kisuke Maboroshi into a river, and he wielded a rare technique that drew souls out of their bodies to be sealed inside tags. When Kisuke uncovered his treachery and confronted him, Sabiru used exactly that jutsu to tear out the operative's soul, leaving him in a coma. Later he finished Kisuke off by cutting his life support. Naruto set out to prove him a spy, and with Kakashi's help Sabiru was found guilty, but before anyone could pull information from him, a concealed Kabuto Yakushi struck him down.
