Suiren (Kiri)

Suiren had brown eyes and long blonde hair, with two lengthy strands framing her heart-shaped face and reaching her chest. She wore turquoise earrings and the standard Kirigakure kit, forehead protector and flak jacket included, along with the jade-green bangle shared by her team.

Warm and gentle, Suiren clung to the hope of peace above all. With the mission seemingly won, she spoke freely of what an accord between Kirigakure and Iwagakure might mean for the wider shinobi world. Her devotion to her teammates ran deep, enough that she threw herself in front of a hail of kunai for Ganryū despite already carrying serious wounds.

A decade before the Allied Shinobi Forces came together, Suiren served on Ganryū's team, sent with an Iwagakure squad to recover a scroll that Kumogakure ninja had seized. With the document back in hand, she let herself imagine the peace such cooperation could bring, only for Iwagakure to turn on them. After Junsai fell, she shielded Ganryū with her own body and died, an event remembered as the Tragedy of Yosuga Pass and the opening of a long feud between the two villages. Little is recorded of her skills beyond notable speed, shown as she cut down several thrown kunai to guard her teammate. Ganryū went on to avenge her, rallying others who bore a grudge against Iwagakure. Learning of that hostility, the Third Tsuchikage ordered Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi to return her bangle as an apology; with Akatsuchi hurt in the fighting, Chōjūrō ultimately passed it to him, and Suiren's dream of peace carried forward through Ganryū to Naruto Uzumaki.
