Summary

Code makes his introduction to Boruto and lays out his aim of offering the boy to the Ten-Tails, first wanting to gauge whether he is worthy as a sacrifice. Kawaki pleads with Boruto to flee, but Boruto doubts Code would ever let him go. Far away, Ino reports to Naruto that a widened search still cannot locate Kawaki, and Nishi confirms the sensor readings have gone cold.

The clash begins with Code slipping between his Claw Marks to strike and evade. Boruto counters using a shadow clone disguised as a shuriken and a Lightning Release volley, which Code finds entertaining even as he judges Boruto clumsy with the Kāma. Activating his own White Kāma, Code presses harder and reveals that the mark hands down the pooled combat memory of the Ōtsutsuki to anyone who learns to tap it. Boruto begins pulling on that reserve, which delights Code and leaves Kawaki uneasy about Momoshiki stirring while Ada looks on from afar.

Naruto, now without Kurama, slips into Sage Mode and heads out with Shikamaru, leaving Himawari in Hinata's care with a promise to bring both boys home. Boruto cannot absorb Code's marks, which carry enough iron from his blood to behave like solid matter. Code swears to come back for Boruto and tries to drag Kawaki off, but Kawaki drives him away, insisting everything he does is for Naruto. Amado puzzles over how Code was tracked so quickly. Boruto then buckles in agony, and in a frozen instant Momoshiki mocks the drugs meant to stall the Kāma before seizing control and slamming Code with an enormous Rasengan.
