With Danzō dead, the village elders and Suna move to name Kakashi the next Hokage, but Tsunade's sudden recovery upends the appointment just as the stone carver prepares to etch his face into the monument.
As the stone carver starts shaping Danzō's face into the Hokage Rock, his assistant brings word that Danzō has died. Kakashi escorts Karin to the Konohagakure Intelligence Division for questioning, while Naruto gathers the Konoha 11 and announces his decision to confront Sasuke by himself. He offers no reasons, only asking them to trust him despite their frustration.
The elders Homura and Koharu endorse Suna's suggestion that Kakashi become the next Hokage. Wandering the village and reflecting on the role, Kakashi pauses before Minato's face on the monument, and Might Guy appears to challenge him to a race. Kakashi edges out a narrow win, and Guy, congratulating him, laments that the new Hokage will be too occupied for their contests. Kakashi assures him they will always be eternal rivals and that he will lean on Guy's help to run the village, moving his friend to tears. Later the Fire Daimyō and the Konoha Council convene to formally install Kakashi, debating whether he should be counted the sixth or seventh Hokage given Danzō's uncompleted appointment.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
This is episode 219 of Naruto Shippūden, part of the Fourth Shinobi World War: Countdown arc, adapting chapter 488. Just as the daimyō reaches a decision, Guy bursts in to report that Tsunade has woken from her coma, and the elders opt to reinstate her as Hokage to project stability, to Kakashi's relief. The stone carver, mid-work on Kakashi's face, is halted once more. The episode notes two continuity slips, including Karin's bloodied clothes appearing clean, and that the manga's interrupting ninja was a minor unnamed character rather than Guy. It uses the opening theme Lovers and the ending theme Shout Out Your Desires!!!.
Not officially. Kakashi is on the verge of being named the next Hokage after Danzō's death, but Tsunade's sudden recovery from her coma leads the village elders to reinstate her instead, to Kakashi's relief.
The Fourth Hokage is Minato Namikaze, whose face on the Hokage Monument Kakashi pauses before while reflecting on the responsibilities of the role in this episode.
Konoha needs a new Hokage because Danzō, who had been serving in the role, has just died, prompting the village elders and Suna to move toward naming Kakashi as his successor.
While wandering the village reflecting on becoming Hokage, Kakashi is challenged by Might Guy to a footrace past the Hokage Monument, which Kakashi wins by a narrow margin.
The Fire Daimyō and the Konoha Council debate whether Kakashi should be counted as the sixth or seventh Hokage, since Danzō's appointment to the role was never completed.
