Haunted by memories of Code, Kawaki wrestles with Amado's offer of a new Kama while doubting his place in Konoha. Meanwhile Code awakens a second protector, Daemon, whose power turns any killing intent back on its owner.
Kawaki jolts awake from a nightmare of his childhood, hunted by a jealous Code who resented his selection as Jigen's vessel. After a checkup with Sumire and Amado, he grumbles that Code still wants him dead even now that he is no longer a vessel. Amado corrects him: Isshiki's soul is gone and can no longer possess him, yet the Otsutsuki alterations to his body remain. When Kawaki turns hostile, Amado steers the argument toward Naruto, warning that without Kurama the Hokage would fall to Code, and proposes fitting Kawaki with a fresh Kama that would serve only as a weapon. Kawaki loathes the mark, but Amado judges him pragmatic enough to grab any power within reach, reminding him that the two of them are outsiders who will be discarded once they lose their use.
Team 10 notices Kawaki wandering with a heavy expression, and Shikadai pulls him aside before he draws a crowd, trying to reassure him that he belongs in the village. Himawari, busy preparing for a test, asks Boruto to spar, but he refuses out of fear the Kama will flare. Sumire presses Amado about his offer and suspects a hidden agenda behind restoring the mark; he concedes it is a private matter that does not concern her, insisting he means Konoha no harm, and she notices a container standing beside him.
At Code's side, Ada finds Kawaki's plight painful to watch and asks Code to spare Naruto along with him, which he flatly refuses. She is in no hurry, confident her Senrigan will reveal the right moment while the five villages search for Code. When Code wonders how she would handle Kawaki, who is immune to her allure much like Boruto, Ada offers to introduce her other knight. Bug reluctantly wakes Daemon, who springs onto Code at once, and Ada cautions him against harming her younger brother. As armed guards close in, their strikes rebound and Daemon turns their own killing intent back on them, cutting them down; even Code's attempt to brand Daemon reflects his Claw Marks back at him. Code demonstrates his own ability in return and begins to suspect Ada is concealing yet another power. Naruto later finds Kawaki brooding at the Hokage Rock and takes him home for a welcome dinner, where Boruto hands over his own forehead protector, though Kawaki still resolves to protect Konoha and Naruto without a new Kama.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
