Seiren

The rival fleets of the Funato and Kirigakure close on one another over open water. Ordered into the fight rather than escorting the Konoha visitors home, Kagura has his hands full as Hebiichigo spots a Funato aboard the incoming vessel. While his squad returns to their lodging, Boruto slips off to visit Ikada, catching wind of islanders puzzled by a strange black haze. That fog is Seiren's doing. Frustrated that her brother Ikada cannot share her aims, she directs Funamushi to capture Kagura alive as leverage and reserves Boruto for herself.

Summoned leeches spread through the Kiri ranks, turning shinobi against each other, with Buntan and Kawaki both falling under the parasites' control. Seiren corners Boruto, but the fog had already tipped him off, and shadow clones cover his retreat as she looses chakra arrows from a ray-shaped bow. Elsewhere, Metal Lee shields his teammates from a possessed Kiri fighter, and the group rushes toward Kajiki's dock after an explosion.

Funamushi engages Kagura on the water while Hebiichigo watches, quietly wishing for the swordsman's death, and Iwabee walls off the harbor to guard Kajiki and their ship. Metal cuts down the leech steering the shinobi who threatens Hebiichigo. Learning that Seiren hunts Boruto, Kagura beats Funamushi and races to help. One of Seiren's arrows numbs Boruto's arm, and she hunts by echolocation, redirecting shots in flight to strike Kagura despite his Hiramekarei guard. Boruto realizes the storm's thunder scrambles her hearing, and Kagura offers himself as bait. When Seiren fires at him, Boruto pinpoints her position so Kagura can close in and cut her down. An enraged Funamushi throws up a water barrier and carries the wounded Seiren clear.

The episode belongs to the Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc within the Boruto series. Afterward the group reassembles, Buntan questions Hebiichigo's absence, and Kagura calls on the New Seven Ninja Swordsmen for aid. A coded paper is recovered from the battlefield, and Ikada dashes off without his design notebook when word reaches him. Brought to the injured but stable Seiren, Ikada is told that Kagura and Boruto are to blame, stoking his fury, while Boruto is left wondering why Seiren ever regarded him as a foe.
