The Forbidden Jutsu of Death

After a few last words, Yuga triggers his kinjutsu, calling forth a being from another world. The technique devours him, unleashing the creature and sealing everyone inside a barrier. Nearby, Hiruga and Asaka sense the forbidden art, grieve for their brother, and press on. Fast and powerful, the creature drains Boruto's chakra the moment it blocks his strike. Konohamaru shatters its arm with a Rasengan and pulls Boruto to safety, but the monster siphons chakra from a passing deer and regrows the limb, prompting the team to compare it to the Shinigami.

Mugino insists the priority is destroying the barrier so they can recover Hashirama's cells, and he needles Konohamaru for coddling his genin. Warned by Mitsuki's snake that the creature is drawing near after feeding on the wildlife inside, the group shifts close to the barrier's edge. Boruto and Mitsuki pin the monster with clones and snakes so Sarada can land a blow that cracks a jewel embedded in it. The creature abandons the genin and rushes the failing barrier, but Mitsuki's snakes buy time for Boruto and Konohamaru to ready their Rasengan. Their combined strike destroys the jewel, killing the creature and collapsing the barrier, though Mugino drops from spent chakra.

Mugino faults Boruto for not planning ahead, and Boruto fires back at his poor communication, a criticism Konohamaru echoes before they resume chasing the Haze shinobi. Elsewhere, Omoi refuses to reveal where Hashirama's cells are, but his subordinates crack and point Deepa toward the Haze ninja. Deepa kills Kakui and Marui and departs as Omoi loses consciousness.
