Summary
The Hyūga clan convenes and appoints Neji to command its forces at the front of the coming war, a choice that unsettles some members. Hinata reflects on her past training with him. She later meets Kurenai and hears from Shikamaru that he and several of the Konoha 11 have crossed paths with Naruto since he left the village, and that Tsunade has been asking for her. Hoping the summons means a mission that could reunite her with Naruto, Hinata seeks Tsunade out only to be let down.

Shizune and a somewhat tipsy Tsunade join the women, and Tsunade tries to apologize for brushing Hinata off earlier, but Hinata assures her it was fine because she understood what needed to be done.
