A-B Combo

This two-man unit from Kumogakure was built on kinship rather than blood. One half was A, whose father once carried the title of Third Raikage; the other was Killer B, who cemented his place as A's sworn sibling by cleanly removing the head of a practice dummy during a tryout. Onlookers came to speak of the pair as the Strongest Tag-Team, a reputation earned on the battlefield rather than handed to them.

Beyond the borders of their village, the two became a genuine source of dread thanks to their trademark maneuver, the Lightning Release: Double Lariat. Long years of drilling sharpened the technique until each brother could deliver it while wrapped in extra power, A cloaked in his Lightning Release Chakra Mode and B shrouded by the cloak of his tailed beast, which pushed an already brutal attack to new extremes. The partnership essentially came apart once the Third passed and A stepped into the office of Raikage; fearful of losing his brother as well, he confined B to the village.

The team held only two names, but both loomed large in Kumogakure lore. A led as the elder and eventual village head, while Killer B served as his counterpart and the wielder of the Eight-Tails. One glimpse of their early work came from a simple retrieval job: dispatched to recover a certain scroll, B stunned his partner by returning with it before anyone had even bothered to explain what the mission was for.
