All-Out War…!!

Still knocked out, Sasuke drifts through a vision of his younger self, aching that he had not been stronger on the night his clan was wiped out. Nearby, Chōji has no wish to tangle with Team Dosu until a jab at his weight changes his mind entirely. Ino asks Sakura to keep an eye on both Naruto and Sasuke as the fighting begins.

Chōji barrels into Zaku, who cannot land a scratch on him, and when Dosu moves to step in, Shikamaru freezes him in place. Ino seizes control of Kin's body and threatens to end her life unless the enemy hands over their scroll and withdraws, but Zaku strikes Ino through Kin, wounding her and declaring they never came to compete in the exam at all. Shikamaru's hold lapses just as Neji and Tenten arrive on the scene. Neji vows Dosu will answer for downing their comrade, then observes he may not need to act himself. Sasuke stirs awake with the Cursed Seal of Heaven creeping across his skin and demands to know who hurt Sakura, to which Zaku admits it was him.

The chapter runs in volume 7 as part of the Chūnin Exams arc. VIZ published its title as No Holds Barred!!, and it marks Sasuke's ominous awakening under the cursed seal's influence.
