Baptism by Fire

Ada, Daemon, and Amado reach Konoha and are met by Sai and Shikamaru, with Sai and several villagers falling instantly under Ada's charm. Ada makes clear she already knows about, and accepts, the plan to have her live among them, then refuses Sai's offer of an escort and lifts off into the air with Daemon clinging to her back. Amado warns that flight is ordinary for the Ōtsutsuki and that Boruto and Kawaki will likely take to the sky before long. At the borrowed house, Boruto is delighted while Kawaki bristles at his good mood, and Konohamaru presses them to keep on Ada's good side. From a neighboring rooftop, Sarada and Mitsuki keep watch, joined soon after by Shikadai, Inojin, and Chōchō, several of whom are drawn to Ada the instant she arrives by air.

Sarada notices that neither she nor Shikadai got a clear look at Ada's face, and wonders whether that spared them from her influence. When Moegi turns up worried about Konohamaru, Ada's teasing comment makes him faint on the spot. Boruto asks Ada to step out and talk, but Daemon strikes first, announcing himself as her younger brother. He baits Kawaki into an attack that his ability simply throws back, catches the shrunken chakra rods of Sukunahikona before they can wound him, and knocks both boys out cold. Boruto wakes to find Ada cradling an unconscious Kawaki, offering an apology while Daemon boasts that the point was to prove defiance would not go unpunished. Shikamaru radios in, apologizing that his intended introductions never happened, and settles down with Naruto to finally wring the whole truth out of Amado.

Numbered 74 in the Boruto manga and gathered into volume 19, this chapter falls within the Omnipotence arc. It first ran in Japan during December 2022 through the V Jump publication, and Viz Media kept the English title Baptism by Fire.
