Chapter 79 delivers the reality-warping turn of the Blue Vortex prologue, as Ada's uncontrolled shinjutsu rewrites the world's memory to swap Kawaki and Boruto's places, leaving Boruto branded an outsider hunted by everyone he once called ally.
Boruto presses Momoshiki for answers he refuses to give, while Shikamaru coordinates the manhunt for Kawaki, telling his sensors to watch for the instant Kawaki's chakra runs dry and resurfaces. Moegi holds Team 10 back from joining the search, and Konohamaru sends Sarada and Mitsuki to escort Boruto to the hospital as he and Sasuke set off after Kawaki. Once clear, Mitsuki peels away to hunt too, unsettled by his own vow about anyone who might try to kill Boruto, prompting Sarada to chase after him. Drained of the chakra needed to hold Sukunahikona, Kawaki shrinks back to normal near a patrol, where Ada locates him with her Senrigan and flies off in pursuit, leaving Daemon and Sumire behind.
Amado begs Shikamaru not to kill Kawaki, admitting he holds a shutdown command over him just as he did with Delta. Shikamaru bristles at the continued secrecy and, though he understands Amado needs Kawaki for Akebi's sake, holds firm that Kawaki will be treated as an enemy to remove unless he fully surrenders.
Ada reaches Kawaki and pledges her loyalty, but he warns that her inability to mask her own presence keeps broadcasting his. He confesses he cares nothing for his own safety, only for Naruto, insisting that if Momoshiki is not destroyed, both Naruto and the Konoha he fought to protect will fall. Anguished that Boruto now serves as Momoshiki's vessel, Kawaki wishes the host had been some nobody no one would grieve. A strange pulse passes between him and Ada as they hover, sending a flash rippling across the entire planet that everyone feels.
Momoshiki taunts Boruto and tells him to turn around. Mitsuki, in Sage Mode, prepares to strike him, stunning both Boruto and Sarada. A shinobi asks Kawaki about a wound on his eye he does not have, and Ada refers to Naruto as Kawaki's father. Momoshiki reveals the truth: this is Ada's real power, the Omnipotence shinjutsu she cannot govern, which he likens to a divine programming language that makes any wish real. Filtered through Ada, Kawaki's desire has become fact, swapping the two boys' positions in everyone's collective memory.
Momoshiki explains that all consciousness is linked through chakra, which a god may tamper with, and hints that an Ōtsutsuki who once attained godhood may already have rewritten humanity's past. The power spares those already turned Ōtsutsuki, spares Ada as its wielder, and appears not to touch Sarada, since those immune to it suffer the most under it. By the chapter's close Kawaki stands as the Hokage's Konoha-born son while Boruto is recast as the ungrateful outsider now being pursued. Published in 2023 and collected in volume 20, the chapter opens the Omnipotence arc, with its title written Zennō.

We ranked the six most popular women of Naruto from worst to first, and our number one is going to start a fight. The official poll got it wrong....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
Omnipotence, or Zenno, is the name of the reality-warping shinjutsu revealed in this Boruto chapter as Ada's own power, which she cannot fully control. Momoshiki describes it as a divine programming language that can make any wish become real.
Kawaki does not consciously activate Omnipotence himself; the power belongs to Ada. His anguished wish that Momoshiki's vessel had been a nobody instead of Boruto is filtered through Ada's uncontrolled shinjutsu, rewriting reality to swap his and Boruto's identities.
Omnipotence swaps Kawaki and Boruto's positions in everyone's collective memory, so Kawaki is recast as the Hokage's Konoha-born son while Boruto becomes the ungrateful outsider now being hunted.
Shikamaru refuses to promise mercy, telling Amado that Kawaki will be treated as an enemy to be removed unless he fully surrenders, despite Amado's pleas and admission that he holds a shutdown command over Kawaki.
Omnipotence is chapter 79 of the Boruto manga, collected in volume 20 as the opening chapter of the Omnipotence Arc, published in Japan in 2023.
