Summary

Son Gokū warns Naruto that rescue alone will not make it an ally, since it cannot bring itself to trust him, and Naruto accepts that condition without complaint. Inside, Kurama muses that it too knows Naruto and doubts any speech could ever sway a tailed beast. Tobi hauls Son toward himself with binding chains, aiming to draw both jinchūriki and beast into his absorption. B keeps pushing to pry Son's jaws apart so Naruto can escape, and when Naruto cannot force the mouth open himself, he floods Son with the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique until the beast is made to spit him out, drawing a cheer from B.

Son reveals that the full tailed beast transformation shifted the chakra receiver embedded in it from its chest up to its neck. Spotting the target, Naruto slips into his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and moves to tear the rod free, apologising ahead of time for any roughness. He drags himself toward the receiver with chakra arms while Tobi tries to snare him in the chains. Kurama runs through Naruto's past triumphs and concludes that if he genuinely means to help the tailed beasts, he should simply act as he always has. Naruto strains to pull the receiver loose from the outside while a clone left within Son enters Sage Mode and shoves it from the inside.
