Summary

Boruto walks Amado, Katasuke, and Sai through how Momoshiki brought him back, drawing on the knowledge the Ōtsutsuki left inside him. The group accepts that Momoshiki cannot revive him a second time, yet Amado warns that the danger of the enemy mind seizing control has not gone away. Katasuke points out that the suppression drugs have held up so far, but Boruto insists he no longer needs them, fumbling to describe a feeling that he has changed and can now tap Momoshiki's power more freely. When Sarada and Mitsuki later examine the mark Code left on him and ask why the enemy wanted him dead, Boruto hides the truth and blames poor self-control, while Sarada frets that his now fully Ōtsutsuki nature paints a target on his back.

Elsewhere, Sumire, Shikamaru, Ibiki, and Naruto keep watch over an unconscious but fully mended Kawaki. Shikamaru sent Sumire in because he refuses to let Amado near the boy before questioning him, and when Ibiki objects to leaving Kawaki unbound, he explains that Sukunahikona and Kāma would free him from any restraint, so their safest course is to avoid provoking him and hope he stays an ally who protects Naruto. Sasuke then arrives with intelligence on Code, reporting a concealed compound in the Land of Snow that almost no one in Boro's cult knew about, where secret scientific ninja tool experiments and a scrapyard for Jigen's discarded cyborgs were run, and where a contact of Code's named Bug is stationed.

Key Events

Inside that Snow facility, Ada recounts everything since Code's withdrawal and exposes Boruto's rebirth through Momoshiki's Kāma, reasoning that the two must have spoken on some spiritual plane her Senrigan cannot reach. She rebukes Code for deploying Daemon without her leave, reminds him his sole task is delivering Kawaki, and threatens that she and Daemon will discard him the moment he becomes a burden. Stung that she will not call them comrades, Code reveals he has been listening through a Claw Mark planted on Shikamaru's neck.

Back in Konoha, Shikamaru presses Amado over restoring Kawaki's Kāma without consent; Amado counters that the seal only formed because Kawaki himself willed the power to shield Naruto, and that it is the reason Shikamaru still breathes. Their argument breaks off when Code emerges from the Claw Mark, slams Shikamaru against the wall, and grips Amado by the throat, demanding his limiters be lifted. Ino senses the intrusion and warns Shikamaru, who tells her to alert Naruto but keep everyone back, since he lured Code into coming alone. He locks Code down with his Shadow Imitation, then wakes a reprogrammed Delta unit hidden in the lab that pins the intruder in place. As Code reaches for another Claw Mark to flee, Shikamaru forces his arm free, but Code insists he is not running and instead drags Ada through the mark, leaving Amado stunned.
