The Invisible Jutsu

Back in the village, Shikamaru fumes that the children rushed off without any sense of how many foes awaited them, and word arrives that a badly hurt, unconscious Sasuke has returned, leaving no one able to follow yet. At the enemy hideout, Boro observes that the site can only be reached through space-time ninjutsu and presses Kawaki on how he arrived. Kawaki brushes the question off and demands to know about Naruto. Amused by the boy's devotion, Boro taunts them by revealing that Naruto lies sealed inside the container he carries, then tosses it over and warns that only Jigen can safely release the seal.

Kawaki confirms Naruto's chakra through his prosthetic hand, but Boro has already slipped away, using the container as a distraction. Mitsuki senses a rising wave of acid from below, and Kawaki absorbs it through his Kama to shield the seal, finding it unharmed. When Boro drenches Kawaki in more acid, Boruto steps in and soaks it up as well, matching the intelligence Delta had gathered on him. Boruto lands a Rasengan, yet Boro simply heals the wound. As Kawaki tries to outpace the regeneration with relentless blows, both boys suddenly collapse, frozen by a dark mist neither of them can absorb.

Boro greets Boruto as Momoshiki's vessel and thanks him for easing the deadline on Kara's schemes. Mitsuki tries wind and lightning attacks and even binds Boro with snakes, but Boro throws him down and heals from a venomous bite, all while the lingering mist endangers them. Sarada hurls a boulder to buy an opening, and the team grabs Boruto and Kawaki and pulls back. Kawaki bristles at leaving Naruto behind, but Sarada insists they would only have been beaten and must unravel Boro's technique first, reminding him that teamwork is the foundation of a shinobi.
