Summary

Boruto reaches the fight in time to save Sarada and the other Konoha ninja, entrusting an unconscious Himawari to Konohamaru just as Hidari strikes at him. A blast of wind sends the attacker flying, but Hidari escapes into one of the scattered Claw Marks. Boruto then explains Hidari's grim origin: he formed when a Claw Grime devoured Sasuke. Learning of that tie to Moegi, Konohamaru resolves to fight alongside Boruto. The God Tree responds by conjuring several more Claw Grimes.

Hidari, meanwhile, recovers atop a Daihakoten, mending rapidly on what appear to be Divine Tree roots, then bursts back into view behind Sarada and Boruto. As Boruto readies his new Uzuhiko Rasengan, Sarada shields him from Hidari's strikes lancing out of the Claw Marks, and Konohamaru deploys his Spiralling Barrier to break up the ambush. Boruto lands the Uzuhiko, and Kawaki arrives to erase Hidari entirely. Boruto recovers Hidari's Thorn Soul Bulb, calling it the key to saving Sasuke, but Jura suddenly shoots him down with a tailed beast blast and seizes the bulb, resolving to eliminate Boruto as a threat while keeping Kawaki intact for consumption.

Notes

A Two Blue Vortex installment set in the Boruto's Return Arc, the chapter takes its name from the Thorn Soul Bulb at its center, rendered in the Viz release as Thorn Soul Bulb. Jura's decision to preserve Kawaki for later consumption raises the God Tree faction's threat and leaves Sasuke's fate uncertain.
