Classed as a Paramecia, the power appears nowhere in the manga and exists purely within the anime. Eric alone has been shown eating it. Its title leans on kama, meaning sickle, and points more precisely toward the kamaitachi, a folkloric wind creature said to travel on gusts and open wounds with curved, blade-shaped claws. Under Funimation the fruit is titled the Sickle-Sickle Fruit, while the Odex release names it the Slash-Slash Fruit. One distinction stands out here: among fruits handed to an antagonist, this is the earliest to exist only in the animated version.

Eating the fruit stretches and hones the eater's nails on a permanent basis, so they double as close-range weapons and as launchers for slicing air. Whatever gusts they throw off cut through resistant material such as bedrock, and Eric likens their edge to a celebrated sword. Directly, the drawn-out claws carve into foes, which is how Eric slashed a Marine as the man tried to flee. Setting aside the vulnerabilities every Devil Fruit shares, no unique flaw is evident, yet concept sketches show Eric filing his nails, implying he needs to keep them sharpened to stay dangerous. His named attacks include the Tsumujikaze, a many-slash wind blast thrown singly or as an intersecting pair, the Kamaitachi, a lone gust that still splits rock, and the Kamaitachi Midareuchi, an intensified volley finished by a spinning tempest of cutting air.

The lone owner is Eric, who applies the blades against enemies both up close and at range. However fierce the wind grows, Luffy brushed the strikes off without strain. A recurring gag involves several Straw Hats mishearing the fruit's name and taking Eric for an okama, an assumption that annoys him. Observers note the effect operates much as the Rankyaku of the Six Powers does, both hurling slicing wind through a sweep of a limb, while the way it grows the nails brings the Horu Horu no Mi to mind.
