Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison

Eaten by Dalton, this ordinary Zoan hands its owner the freedom to become either a complete bison or a bison-human blend. The name leans on ushi, Japanese for cow or ox, a fit since bison belong to the same subfamily as cattle, and English versions land on labels such as Ox-Ox Fruit, Bison Model to keep the creature unmistakable. The fruit resembles a black, swirl-marked strawberry shaped like a horned bison's head, and it debuted back in Chapter 135.

The heart of the power is the two additional shapes it opens up, each granting physical force to match or top an actual bison. Dalton commands enormous strength together with speed keen enough to spin off afterimages and slip past bullets, gifts he directs chiefly toward fighting rather than raw muscle on its own. Apart from the customary Devil Fruit limits, nothing specific has been pinned down as a weakness. It holds the place of the first plain Zoan the series showed and the second Zoan of any kind, establishing the pattern for the category.

Dalton stands as the only user. In his signature Fiddle Banff he takes hybrid shape and rushes an opponent at breakneck speed, cutting with his oddly shaped spade and able to fell several enemies together, a feat proven against Wapol's troops. That technique's name nods to Banff National Park, a onetime plains-bison habitat before the animals were hunted out. Fittingly, a Hokkaido zoo once kept an American bison named Doruton in honor of the character.
