Appearance

Ahiru has pale skin, full lips, and lengthy hair, and her left arm has been swapped for a mechanical prosthesis. Her outfit pairs a blouse that carries a single long sleeve on the right with a red tie and a brown glove, while goggles sit atop her head; a green jacket completed her earliest look. Several details have shifted between versions: the prosthetic was drawn light and dark green for the animated series yet rendered gray within the colored manga, while her hair started out brown before later anime episodes recolored the limb pink and the hair black. Early depictions also gave her a black blouse and tanned skin rather than the lighter, white-bloused look used in newer anime scenes.

Personality

Belonging to the Revolutionary Army, she feels no hesitation about defying the World Government, a stance reinforced by her rank as an officer. She also leans into her cyborg identity with a playful streak, vocalizing mechanical noises by mouth every time she moves her robotic arm about.

History

During the Levely, Ahiru stood on Momoiro Island beside Belo Betty and Koala once the scheme to slip into the gathering had been set in motion. In the Egghead chapter of the Final Saga, she waited along the island's coast with the other deputy commanders when a ship drew near; prepared to open fire with her cybernetic arm should it prove hostile, she relaxed on recognizing Sabo and survivors from the Lulusia Kingdom aboard. Six days past Lulusia's destruction she watched the shoreline flood from a worldwide earthquake, and she later joined her fellow revolutionaries to hear Vegapunk's broadcast and learn what had caused the deluge.
