Appearance

Small and youthful, Aisa belongs to the Shandia tribe and goes about in a fur dress with a matching cap, colored yellow with white trim and a green side flap in the manga and browner in the anime. Her brown hair sits short, cropped against Raki's teasing that she should let it grow out to look more ladylike. A tan satchel with yellow buckles hangs at her side. On occasion she instead wears a yellow dress with sandals and a hairclip. The anime keeps her barefoot while the manga gives her sandals. Two years later she has shot up in height, her small wings have widened, and she now ties her longer hair into pigtails beneath a Wagomuland cap, having finally taken Raki's advice.

Personality

From birth Aisa carried Mantra, an awareness of the lives around her, and the constant sensing of death horrifies her; she will throw herself into danger to stop it, often with no plan at all. She longs to be a capable fighter like the rest of her tribe and once feared Wyper before warming to him. Something of a tomboy, she recoiled at the idea of growing her hair just to look cute. She is closest to Raki, who may be her cousin, and though distant from the wider tribe she still frets over their safety and grieves when she senses them hurt.

History

Even as an infant she wept whenever brawls erupted in Hidden Cloud Village. During the Skypiea conflict she kept sneaking to Upper Yard for Vearth despite the warnings, and her sensing of silenced voices helped trigger the Shandia assault. After her waver broke and sky sharks attacked, Conis and Pagaya rescued her and brought her to the Straw Hats. Hostile at first, she came to admire them, clinging to Luffy through the chaos aboard the Ark Maxim, guiding him across the ruins, and watching in awe as he toppled Enel and rang the golden bell. She was the only islander to bid the crew a proper farewell as they fled. Later glimpses show her strolling the Vearth with friends, working the Wagomuland park two years on, and reuniting with the others at Skypiea during Vegapunk's broadcast.
