Blyue

Towering and evenly built, Blyue carries muscle across his frame without looking lopsided. Red hair falls loose around his head, matched by a goatee in the same shade. His outfit mirrors that of his old crew: a horned, skull-shaped helmet, a green coat, and a white fur scarf draped over the shoulders.

Convinced that his captain had perished, Blyue took deep offense at being abandoned by the rest of the band, and that grievance fuels a single ambition: to sail again as a pirate once he can rebuild a crew around himself.

A hundred years before the game's events, Blyue crewed under Dorry and Brogy until their vessel went down in a fierce storm. Each side assumed the other had drowned, yet he washed up alive on an island billed as a holiday spot for pirates. Stewing over his abandonment and inspired by the so-called Legend of the Blue, which promised to grant any wish, he opened a hotel and dispatched guests on treasure hunts. For a century no one came, until Monkey D. Luffy and his crew finally arrived. Blyue seized Nefertari Vivi as a hostage and goaded the Straw Hats into clearing his resort's themed gauntlet against their former enemies. Once Vivi slipped free he battled Luffy directly. He lost the fight, but his wish came true all the same and the Blue shattered. Learning from Luffy that Dorry and Brogy still lived, he was overjoyed, apologized, and resolved to find a crew as fine as the Straw Hats one day.

As a giant, Blyue commands enormous power and stamina befitting his race. He had also swallowed the Mini Mini no Mi, a Paramecia fruit that lets him shrink himself down so he can deal with smaller folk more easily, and he favors a horseman's axe along with a shield he swings as an offensive tool rather than for cover.
