Cerberus is the saber carried by Figarland Shamrock of the Knights of God. A Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit has brought the blade to life, letting it morph into a colossal three-headed hound. It debuts during the Final Saga and ranks among Shamrock's deadliest weapons in Elbaph's Underworld.
In its resting state the weapon is a saber whose single-edged blade runs long, fitted with a circular guard and hilt that look to be solid gold. A white sheath bearing gold fittings at its locket and chape normally hangs from Shamrock's left hip on a studded shoulder belt. The design recalls Gryphon, the blade of Shanks, who is Shamrock's younger twin. Fully unleashed, Cerberus becomes an enormous dog bearing three heads, jagged teeth, dangling tongues, and a spiked collar around each neck. Light fur covers most of its body while the muzzles, ears, and paws stay dark. Like other awakened Zoans it is wreathed in a scarf of black smoke and flame, and during its beast form a wisp of dark smoke links the creature's tail back to the original blade.
The creature behaves as a savage hound, carrying out the orders of its master Shamrock without hesitation.
Granted awareness by its Zoan Devil Fruit, the sword shifts on command between a sword-Cerberus hybrid and a complete Cerberus shape. Its status as an awakened Mythical Zoan, paired with the keenness and toughness of its steel origin, makes it a lethal opponent; even the giant Loki, who has spent his life among ferocious creatures, recoiled at the sight of it. Because a blade remains at its core, Cerberus can project massive swords out of all three of its mouths to impale targets. Stranger still, it can detach its heads from their necks, sending them through the air by firing flames out of the openings much like jet thrust, so each head acts independently of Shamrock. Since the beast cannot speak, Shamrock names its techniques; one such move, Scramble, makes the three severed heads spin and fly via flames jetting from the neck stumps, a term taken from the military act of rapidly launching aircraft. In Elbaph's Underworld, Shamrock unleashed Scramble on Loki, flinging the heads skyward before each plunged down to stab the giant prince through the chest. It stands as the only known inanimate Zoan ever to reach awakening.
