Personality

Chappe gave Caesar Clown unflinching devotion, addressing him as his master. That faith collapsed when Caesar turned on his own followers, leaving Chappe feeling betrayed and driving him to escape alongside the Straw Hats and the G-5 Marines. He was also rattled by Smiley, having no idea what the creature was.

Abilities

Chappe carries real physical power, and together with his fellow ex-prisoners he managed to overpower the G-5 Marines. His chosen weapon is a rope whip, which he handles with notable skill. Four years before the present he was already a captive on Punk Hazard when Vegapunk's chemical weapon went off, and the gas robbed him of the use of his legs. A year later Caesar took him in, and Trafalgar Law eventually gave him animal legs, which led him and the other ex-prisoners to embrace Caesar as their master, blind to the fact that the scientist had caused their paralysis. During the Punk Hazard events he battled the G-5 Marines, recoiled as Smiley's slime fell near him, survived Caesar's defeat, and ultimately fled the laboratory with the Straw Hats and Marines.
