Chico (Pirate)
CharacterChico is a member of the Ganzack Pirates and a minor villain in the original One Piece OVA, Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack. He is a non-canon foot soldier with no special powers.
Appearance
A heavyset man of roughly average height, Chico turns up in a plain blue-and-orange striped shirt with matching trousers. A bandana stamped with the Ganzack Pirates' Jolly Roger sits on his head.
Personality
He shares his captain's brutal streak and thinks nothing of going after children. For all that menace, he has a streak of cowardice, growing so rattled after one beating from Luffy that he could not bring himself to even meet the boy's gaze.
History
Chico carries no powers of his own, fighting as an ordinary pirate armed with a dagger he is never really shown using well. Serving the Ganzack Pirates, he helped subjugate and enslave Medaka's homeland, and together with Alto he combed the island's beach for anything worth hauling back to the Devil's Tower. The pair were set to carry off Luffy's body when Medaka cut in, drawing them into a chase that bought enough time for Luffy to wake and quickly thrash them. The two later stood guard over the captives, briefly halting Medaka inside the tower before Luffy frightened them off again.
