Dago

A large and rather round man, Dago has short orange hair styled in an afro along with thick sideburns. He dresses in the Franky Family uniform, which pairs a metal lederhosen marked by a pink star with a set of specialized goggles, worn over brown pants. As one of the Kairiki Destroyers he is unnaturally huge, rising taller than the other members of the family and reaching above the legs of ordinary giants. His hair was mistakenly colored black in his first anime appearance, a mistake corrected within the Episode of Merry special.

Dago is fiercely devoted to the Franky Family and to Franky himself, whom he calls his big brother. Confident in his own power and the family's size, he laughed when Luffy attacked the Franky House. That loyalty runs deep enough that he was willing to assault the World Government's island for Franky's sake, joining the raid on Enies Lobby. He also has a verbal tic of working his name, "-dago," into his speech.

His huge frame grants Dago strength far beyond an ordinary person, built up through years of dismantling ships, making him one of the strongest in the Franky Family, though still no match for foes like giants. He wore thick iron armor able to shrug off battleship cannon fire, yet Luffy destroyed it in one blow. He fought with a large axe at the Franky House before being defeated, and carried a massive cannon-like rifle during the Enies Lobby raid. There he and the other Destroyers forced open the main gate but were stopped by the giants Oimo and Kashii, and Dago was quickly knocked out by Oimo. He later recovered and celebrated the crew's escape aboard the Puffing Tom.
