Franky Family

Fifty or more of Water 7's rejects gathered beneath Cutty Flam, the man the world calls Franky, forming a band that stripped down old vessels and chased bounties for a living. Cast out by the town, its members had nobody else to lean on except a leader who counted himself a washout too. From their base at the coastal Franky House they broke apart ships for scrap and coin, moving their goods through the Underworld.

For all the grief they caused Water 7's residents and the corners they cut, the crew meant well underneath, guarding the town against raiders and drifting pirates while doubling as bounty hunters who often looted their quarry before turning them in. They could never hold onto their earnings, blowing through hard-won and occasionally stolen fortunes almost the instant they came in, a weakness their boss shared. Their clash with the Straw Hats erupted after they lifted the crew's savings and thrashed Usopp, which drove Luffy and the rest to tear the Franky House to the ground.

Once Cipher Pol 9 snatched Franky over the Pluton blueprints, the family allied with the Straw Hats and Galley-La to assault Enies Lobby, smashing the front gate while riding their giant king bulls Sodom and Gomorrah and lending a hand in freeing Robin. The World Government afterward chose to ignore their role, yet Franky himself drew a 44,000,000 bounty and, at their urging, at last signed on with the Straw Hat crew. Among the standouts are the founder Franky, the scrapper Zambai, and the twin sisters Mozu and Kiwi, a number of whom eventually took jobs under Iceburg.
