Daz Bonez

Towering and shaven-headed, Daz cuts an imposing figure built from long, lean limbs and slender fingers, his frame tanned and densely muscled. The trait that draws the eye first is a single thick black brow stretched above his round eyes, paired with wide lips and the old-style Japanese character for the number one inked across his chest.

During the Arabasta campaign he favored an eastern-flavored outfit: a sleeveless dark coat trimmed in gold, loose pale trousers cinched by a sash, with bandaging wound about his lower legs. His Impel Down stretch put him in striped prison garb and left a scar beside his right eye. Once the Marineford war ended he switched to a dark suit worn over an open shirt and a slackly knotted tie, later trading the white undershirt for a pink one after the two-year gap.

Composed, disciplined, and supremely sure of himself, Daz carries the cold steadiness of a career killer and treats weakness or frivolity with contempt. His Devil Fruit left him convinced he could not be beaten, and he holds the conviction that attachments only make a person fragile. In combat he turns merciless and bloodthirsty, striking Roronoa Zoro while the swordsman was wounded and licking spilled blood from his own hands without a flicker of hesitation.

For all that ice, he is not ruled by spite. He carried no grudge against Zoro after their duel, even saluting the swordsman's skill at cutting metal before collapsing in defeat, and he aided Luffy's prison break simply because Crocodile asked it. Those who treat him with respect earn fierce loyalty in return. A buried softer streak also exists: as a boy he secretly dreamed of being a superhero, a wish that delighted him when Miss Goldenweek's hypnosis briefly made it real.

Even stripped of his fruit, Daz is a formidable hand-to-hand martial artist and assassin, renowned across the West Blue and acknowledged as dangerous by Marines as capable as Smoker. His raw power placed him in Impel Down's Level 4, where he flattened a far larger inmate with a single headbutt while likely shackled in seastone, and during the Summit War he and Crocodile cut through entire battleships of Marines together. His loyalty earned a respect from Crocodile that even Nico Robin never received, and his skill registered with Dracule Mihawk, who bothers to remember only fighters he rates highly.

His Devil Fruit is the Supa Supa no Mi, a Paramecia power that lets him reshape any part of his body into razor steel. This hardens him almost to invulnerability and turns him into a living blade, letting him fuse swordwork with martial arts: arms become cleavers, legs become edges, feet become skates that glide across the ground. Because his whole body is the weapon, his blades have no spine to guard against, and he can even rotate curved blades around his forearms like spinning tillers that shred whatever they meet.
