Emeraude

Slim and wheat-toned, Emeraude has green eyes and a long fall of stiff white hair.

She holds Gad dear, taking up his cause and seeking payback after he failed to knock the Straw Hats off their course. Ordinarily composed, she grows anxious the moment anyone deduces her fish-woman heritage and startles easily at sudden events such as an ambush.

As a fish-woman, Emeraude has roughly ten times the strength of a land-bound human, doubled again underwater, a power she displayed by tearing apart a large whirlpool. She fights with a spear and handles it skillfully, once using it to fend off an amorous Sanji. Her techniques include Vert Triomphant, which heals her, Saphir, and Rubis, and the combination move Archange Tricolore, in which the three summon colored columns of spiraling water to strike several foes at once.

While Wadatsumi ferried the Straw Hats between islands, Emeraude leapt from the sea with Saphir and Rubis and perched on a rock, catching Sanji's eye before the three attacked him and introduced themselves as Simon Pirates. They then turned on the crew to avenge Gad's failure, lost, and dove back into the water. The three battled the Straw Hats once more inside a cave on Yo Island and lost again, after which a Master of the Waters moved to attack them, only for Gad to arrive and shield them alongside Sanji. Following Gad's second defeat, the group left the cave. Once the Shushibaruba was beaten, the Precieuses and Gad bid the Straw Hats farewell, resolving to form a crew free of prejudice between humans and fish-folk.
