Saphir

Slender and wheat-toned, Saphir has cropped white hair and blue eyes. Her outfit runs to a matching blue palette: a necklace, a tube top, a long skirt, and a gold band on each wrist, finished with sandals. Her crew's Jolly Roger is inked onto her right hand, and a strip of speckled dark-orange fabric is knotted at her waist.

Bright and playful, Saphir wears a near-constant smile and, unlike her companions, holds no bias against humans. A bit scatterbrained, she once mistook one of Nami's sarcastic jabs for praise and beamed at it, and she took Sanji's flattery in stride even after he wrongly assumed she was a mermaid. Such guilelessness often earns her a smack from Rubis or Emeraude, who urge her to take more pride in being a fish-woman. She is deeply devoted to Gad and seemingly smitten with him, yet still finds Sanji a touch cute. When she believes the Straw Hats have killed Gad, her cheer hardens into genuine fury.

Being a fish-woman grants Saphir roughly tenfold the strength of an ordinary human on land, doubling again underwater, a power she showed by tearing apart a large whirlpool. She can also call up a jet of blue vapor from the sea with a shout and turn it on her foes. In combat she fights with a spear and handles it deftly. Her techniques include Bleu Redoutable, a fierce spear assault whose name means "formidable blue," and Archange Tricolore, a joint move with her two sisters that conjures spiraling, multicolored columns of water to strike several enemies together.
