Farafra

Built large with tanned skin, Farafra wears his long hair shaggy and unkempt, colored black in the anime. His clothing runs to a black-and-green striped military shirt worn with a sash, and a grayish-blue turban sits atop his head. Where his right shoulder was lost in the fighting, a metal prosthetic now covers the gap, likely to disguise the injury. His features carry a hippo-like quality, with a flattened nose and a pair of teeth jutting up from his lower jaw.

Devotion to the Arabasta rebellion ran deep in Farafra, who accepted the loss of part of his arm rather than abandon the cause. He counts Koza and Erik among his close friends. The bond with Koza endured past the timeskip, even after Koza took up a post serving the kingdom he once rose against.

Having stood in the ranks beside Koza, Farafra can be reckoned a competent soldier. His toughness stands out most: losing an arm and a piece of his shoulder seemed to trouble him little. In the clash between the rebels and the Royal Guard he carried a rifle into the fight. Years before joining the uprising he eventually enlisted under Koza, and during the Arabasta war he surrendered his right arm and a section of shoulder to protect his leader. After Nanohana was leveled, he stood at Koza's side as the call went out to march on Alubarna. By the events recorded in From the Decks of the World, he remained alongside Koza, who had become the kingdom's environmental minister. In the non-canon film One Piece: Stampede he turned up on Delta Island during the Pirates Festival, where he got tangled in a brawl with other attendees near Gedatsu and Goro.
