Erik

Erik sports long hair in a dark pink shade and a touch of stubble along his chin. He wears a black top hat together with a dark blue coat that carries badges on its chest and along the sleeve. Following the timeskip his hair has grown markedly longer, and he switches to shorts and a shirt that still bear those badges.

Erik was prepared to gamble his own life for something he held to be right. Joining the rebellion, he took up arms against Arabasta's formidable royal forces, driven by nothing more than a desire for the country's wellbeing. He places his faith in Koza's vision and counts fellow fighters such as Farafra, Okame, and Kebi among his friends.

Erik was raised in Suiren, where as a child he stood out as the ringleader among the local youngsters. Years later he enlisted in the Rebel Army under Koza and even filled a staff-officer-like role, a sign that Koza recognized his capacity to lead; in battle he proved a capable swordsman, holding his own against the kingdom's troops. When a Nanohana boy named Kappa sought to join, Koza and Erik turned him away, and after Koza was shot by Bentham posing as King Cobra, Erik and Kebi stepped up to keep the rebels organized. Seeing Kappa hurt by Daz Bonez and Zala, Erik assumed the royal army was responsible and burned to avenge it.

The rebels eventually crashed head-on into the royal guard while Vivi tried desperately to halt the bloodshed. After Koza was struck down by a disguised Baroque Works agent during an attempt to surrender, the rebels concluded the offered peace had been a ruse, and the fighting only intensified. Once the rain fell and Crocodile was beaten, Erik, Koza, and the others begged King Cobra's pardon, and he told them the past could not be reversed and that they all had to go on living. Years afterward Erik was shown standing with Koza, who had become Arabasta's Environmental Minister. During the Egghead broadcast he was stunned to learn of the Ancient Weapons, and when the transmission cut out he listened to his fellow citizens debating who had killed Vegapunk.
