Short orange hair, green eyes, and freckles mark this young teenager, who stands strikingly small for her age. Her wardrobe deliberately echoes Nami's debut look: a striped shirt in white and blue, a side-ringed miniskirt, slightly raised brown gladiator sandals, and hair clips in blue and yellow. Her skirt differs from Nami's in being dark blue with only one ring rather than two. A brown sling bag and red-rimmed glasses complete the picture.

Two years earlier, before Nami entered her life, she dressed in a green frock over a white undershirt, her uncut hair reaching down toward the center of her back. School-style clothing appears on her in the follow-up P.S. Fan Letter, where she wears a white shirt layered over a dark tee, dark trousers, white sneakers, and a roomy shoulder bag.

Brave and inspired, the girl will defy and even obstruct the Marines to reach her goal. Drawing on Nami's example, she holds that one must keep struggling toward one's aims regardless of weakness or pain, and that life should be lived as freely as possible. Her devotion runs so deep that she dresses permanently in Nami's style, signaling her rejection of the World Government's propaganda against pirates.

During the Summit War at Marineford, the girl pushed through a packed crowd and, sickened by the crush, was shoved against Nami's wanted poster, which gave her a first-ever glimpse of the pirate. She later caught wind of Luffy's 3D2Y message and reasoned that his crew would regroup at the Sabaody Archipelago two years on. Knowing of the imminent return, she wrote Nami a letter of thanks and set out on the appointed day to deliver it herself.

Her journey unraveled almost at once. Swept into the crowd at Soul King's farewell concert, then knocked low by Perona's ghosts, she lost hours to despair before scrambling after the Straw Hats and colliding with a Marine acquaintance, dropping her letter, which he mistook for his own delivery. Trying to recover it, she slipped under his table in a bar and grabbed his nearly identical letter, but he was ordered to apprehend the Straw Hats before she could take back her own. She trailed him into the fighting between pirates and Marines, was rescued from attackers by the Marine's older brother, and persuaded him to take her toward Nami. After fresh chaos she reached the Marines' ship, snatched her letter back, and dodged her pursuers until the Straw Hats had set sail, then ripped up her letter, which made the Marines realize the passkey had been theirs the whole time. She offered the two Marine brothers an apology afterward. The follow-up P.S. Fan Letter shows her walking alongside a friend, lately freed from a mangrove root by a Marine, who recounted the tale.

Slight as she is, the girl is nimble, slipping between people and even past a Lieutenant Commander aboard a Marine vessel thanks to her tiny frame, though she stays physically weak. She is reasonably clever too, correctly guessing the reunion day from Luffy's message, albeit by flawed reasoning involving sea cucumber spawning cycles.
