Hatsume

Standing on the shorter side, Hatsume wears her long blonde hair gathered into a pair of ponytails accented with red flowers. A red mask conceals her face at all times, paired with a flower-and-leaf-patterned red kimono worn beneath a white cloak.

According to her records, she is never seen without the mask, and nobody has laid eyes on whatever lies behind it.

Very little has been established about how Hatsume thinks. She appeared faithful to Kurozumi Orochi while he lived, yet when he seemed to fall she switched her allegiance to the Beasts Pirates without protest, setting aside the honor code expected of a samurai. A sullen, downcast look followed that decision, hinting at some unease over the choice.

Once the Straw Hats sparked chaos in the Flower Capital during Shimotsuki Yasuie's execution, the Mimawarigumi were dispatched to police the streets. A week on, the unit traveled with Orochi to Onigashima for the Fire Festival, where Kaido seemingly killed the shogun as part of his takeover. Offered the choice to swear loyalty or fight, the Mimawarigumi pledged themselves to Kaido under Hotei without objection.

When the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance launched its raid, Hatsume found herself battling allies and enemies alike after Queen's Ice Oni virus spread among the ranks. As a former Mimawarigumi member she is presumed a capable fighter, wielding a katana with a circular guard in a single right-handed grip. The Mimawarigumi and Oniwabanshu were ultimately crushed with ease by the reinvigorated yakuza boss Hyougoro.
